The Ancient Greeks inscribed the maxim “Know Thyself” upon the Temple of Apollo in Delphi because the greatest challenge we must all face is recognizing our mortality and coming to know our place within this life. It was a call for us to think well, to explore what came before us and what may come after us, and to decipher where we settle in the dust of humanity. It was a command to examine our place within the cosmos.
This Spring, I promised myself that I would start writing again. And here I am. For any stranger(s) on the internet that might stumble upon this: there is no purpose behind this site except to serve as a reservoir for my thoughts within the boundless entity that is the world wide web. Essentially, this is for shits and giggles.
I hope I’ll be more consistent than in the past with writing. I have four failed blogs, and I can’t have a fifth one. That would just be far too embarrassing. I hope this blog might encourage me to seek out newness and open my world further. I hope that I might come to know more of myself, and that you (whoever you are) might come to know me too. That we might laugh together.
